First Creek Wines are located in the Hunter Valley – New South Wales, Australia’s oldest wine producing region and aim to show the great diversity of wine styles from the Hunter Valley as well as examples from other wine regions.
For over three decades, Greg has been a renowned winemaker and wine enthusiast. He studied wine science at Charles Sturt University and is recognized as one of the top Shiraz makers in Australia. Now Greg is the CEO and Winemaker at First Creek.
2006, Liz was awarded the Dux of the Len Evans Tutorial, described by James Halliday as the “most exclusive wine school in the world”.2007 finalist for Young Winemaker of the year. 2008 Appointed to her current role - Chief Winemaker at First Creek Wines. 2010, Liz was one of the stars of the NSW Wine Awards, having five wines in the NSW Top 40, including the wine judged as the NSW Wine of the Year. 2016 & 2011, Winemaker of year and named as one of the Ten People to Watch in 2011, in the SMH Sydney Magazine

Son Shaun Silkman is the First Creek Chief Operating Officer, managing the two First Creek bottling lines, warehousing and logistics, which are all pivotal parts of First Creek’s contract services to the industry. Shaun is also studying winemaking.Shaun studied wine science at Charles Sturt University.
First Creek winemaker Annabel Holland is the winner of the 2013 Alasdair Sutherland Scholarship. The award gives Annabel entry to the intensive, four-day Australian Wine Research Institute Advanced Wine Assessment Course and also the opportunity to be an associate judge at the 2012 Royal Sydney Wine Show.
In accordance with our responsibilities under the NSW Dept of Gaming and Racing Liquor Act 1982, we require all persons purchasing and recieving First Creek wines to be over 18 years of age.
We must also advise the Liquor Act 1982 states that it is an offence to sell or supply, or to obtain supply of liquor on behalf of a person under the age of 18 years.
