First Creek Wines is a family owned and operated winery based in the Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine producing region. The talented family of winemakers comprises of Liz, Shaun and Greg Silkman whose emphasis on careful fruit selection and rigorous attention to detail produce a range of wines that appeal to both critics and consumers alike.

This award-winning vineyard nestles into the sweeping natural bend of Black Creek. The sandy loam soils of Murphy Vineyard produce a delicate expression of Semillon. 

A delicate, but traditional, expression of Hunter Semillon, citrus aromas and flavours burst, neatly over complex mineralty, with grapefruit acidity to finish.  Recommended with oysters, wasabi and pickled ginger. Will reward with toasty complexity with up to 15 years cellaring. 

A stunning young Murphy semillon, thrilling in its fruit clarity and intensity. The nose is wildly aromatic with Meyer lemon aromas and citrus characters that flow purposely through the palate, coiling around the defined spine of acidity. It shows the site-specific characters of power, flavour and generosity, making it an ideal candidate for cellaring.
Crisp, lifted, lingering
Enjoy at 7 - 10 degrees until 2036 alongside delicate seafood like oysters, grilled fish, or a fresh vegetable salad .

Single Vineyard

The Single Vineyard collection represents the most site-specific wines First Creek Wines produces — expressions tied to an individual block of vines, a named vineyard, and the precise combination of soil, slope, and microclimate that makes that site different from every other block in the Hunter Valley.

Each wine in the range is named for the vineyard of origin: Will's Hill Shiraz, Oakey Creek Semillon, and Creyke Shiraz are all drawn from parcels with documented histories and recognisable flavour signatures that go beyond what a regional or varietal blend can achieve. These are the wines that wine collectors and serious enthusiasts reach for — and that critics consistently score highly.
