$75.00

First Creek Wines is a family owned and operated winery based in the Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine producing region. The talented family of winemakers comprises of Liz, Shaun and Greg Silkman whose emphasis on careful fruit selection and rigorous attention to detail produce a range of wines that appeal to both critics and consumers alike.

This award-winning vineyard nestles into the sweeping natural bend of Black Creek. The sandy loam soils of Murphy Vineyard produce a delicate expression of Semillon.

A delicate, but traditional, expression of Hunter Semillon, citrus armoas and flavours burst, neatly over complex mineralty, with grapefruit acidity to finish.  Recommeded with oysters, wasabi and pickeld ginger. Will reward with toasty complexity with up to 15 years cellaring.

First Creek took over the caretaking of this Lovedale region vineyard, planted in fine, pink, sandy loam on the side of a creek bed, from the De Bortoli family in '18. The aromatics are glorious, reminiscent of citrus drinks on summery days and hints of warm jasmine. The laser-focused palate is powerful and punchy with long, lemony flavours. It has excellent purity and a cleansing finish. This is an intense, youthful wine at the beginning of its journey.
Crisp, lifted, lingering
Enjoy at 7 - 10 degrees until 2035 alongside delicate seafood like oysters, grilled fish, or a fresh vegetable salad .
