Refreshing and bright with lemon and grapefruit flavours. The palate has an open texture, and the flavours are cleansing and citrusy rather than sweet-fruited, which is a welcome change from many wines at this price. Clean, attractive sulfides are present initially, though these lift completely, with pure fruit remaining. A blend of fruit from Brokenback, Merton and Wills Hill Vineyards, aged in a mix of hogsheads and puncheons (25% new French). It is a lovely, modern style with pleasing restraint and a quiet close. Good value.
